About Arlette
I am a modern day shepherdess of sorts who believes in a way of agriculture that is ripe with Mother Nature and profitable to the soul.
I am a woman who lives rural and loves prairie. I have a flock of sheep and a pack of working dogs and I live beyond the rat race, in the midst of prairie; where there are no road signs, the internet is hit or miss, and the birdsong is plentiful.
My creative time is during the early hours of the morning. I draw or I felt with wool so that I may become a better artist. And I write because going without writing turns me into a person I don’t wish to be.

Crooked Fences is an exploration of finding natural wisdom. It is a reminder of the relevance and necessity of believing in Mother Nature in our agricultural lives. I muse about living rural, and tending to a flock of sheep and a pack of dogs. I also share studio updates. Use the subscription above to receive Crooked Fences in your inbox.
